Sorry for my English!
Ok, that's fine.

What is your ambition of this match?

Of this game? I don't think it maybe played out the way we thought it might have. The weather had a big role to play in that. Spain did really well to get the ball down and play, but ultimately we were that more clinical and reduced their chances, just kind of let them play with the ball. They're a really good team, I think they will go far but I think we were the way more clinical team in the end.

What did the coach say to you before the game?

Before the game, to be fair, Mark did say a lot of what would happen. Spain are going to want the ball, but it's all going to be in front of you, so you might not have a lot of shots. Try and press them high up the pitch. I think the weather was kind of. . I think it affected us more than Spain even though in England it rains all the time and we play in the rain a lot. A lot of the stuff Mark had already said actually came into fruition. We just maybe have got the ball down better and played with it, that was part of the game plan. Unfortunately we didn't have it in us tonight, but we still got the goals.

Do you think you can be first in the group?

I hope so. We're in the driving seat. We need to get a win or potentially a draw and we go through. We want to win, we want to score goals, we want to keep a clean sheet. We want to go through with loads of momentum into the quarter-finals. Obviously, Portugal looking to qualify, won tonight, they'll be on a high. . knock the English down and do what other teams couldn't do. It will be a good game but hopefully we get the job done and we're through to the next round.

I think after the World Cup, this is a continuation of your work, don't you think?

Yeah, definitely, this a four-year process with Mark. He's been in the job for three and a half years now and the England team has changed a lot in those years, even from the World Cup to now, we've changed. We're a lot more settled, we've got more of an identity playing a different kind of football. The World Cup was fantastic but we really want to build on that.

What did you think about the French team?

I like the French team, French football is great. You look at it domestically and PSG and Lyon in the Champions League final. I don't think we've seen the best of the French in this tournament yet. They're going to have really perform in the next game to make sure they get through and we know we could be potentially be facing them.
